2024 at Integritee: Joining Coretime, Launching Incognitee, Developing New Features, Listing TEER on Basilisk & Much More

In 2024, the Web3 and blockchain markets saw remarkable growth, with the Web3 blockchain sector expanding to $4.65 billion, driven by innovations in decentralization, DeFi, and privacy technologies. Integritee too put effort into the development of our new product, Incognitee — and its features — and into governance, by enacting several referenda. 2024’s highlights also include getting TEER listed on Basilisk, joining Coretime, and more. Scroll through our yearly wrap-up to explore the team’s work.

1st Quarter

Launching Incognitee, Releasing Videos & Getting Listed on Basilisk

On the development side, last year kicked off with the launch of Integritee’s privacy sidechain, Incognitee — with a public testnet and a dedicated landing page. The content team focused on creating educational videos and articles explaining how our technology works — check the videos on our YouTube channel and articles on Medium.

In March, TEER holders voted in a public referendum on having TEER listed on Basilisk, and the votes resulted in our token becoming available on the Basilisk DEX. We were also present at Sub0 Asia. In Bangkok, our Lead Developer, Christian Langenbacher took the stage to introduce “Verifiable Random Permutations in Web3”. Watch the recording here.

We also explored different subjects like asset tokenization, read our take on this new way of owning something, even if all you can have access to is the internet and a blockchain-based wallet. We closed the quarter with a more straightforward subject: DEXs, and the challenges and benefits of using decentralized exchanges vs centralized ones.

2nd Quarter

Web3 Festival, Coretime, and the Incognitee User Test Campaign

April’s highlights include heading to Hong Kong for the Web3 Festival — where we connected with other blockchain projects — and joining Coretime. Polkadot’s new parachain allocation model (read all about it here) takes parachain auctions out of the equation and allows for a more even distribution of projects throughout the ecosystem.

As you might already know, 2024 was mostly focused on developing and bringing Incognitee to life — in May, we were able to release the user test campaign, where we urged the community to test first core features. Know more here.

We were also excited to know Integritee was one of the finalists of the Tech4Trust accelerator program’s 5th edition. The program took our CEO, Waldemar Scherer, to several networking events, workshops, and conferences in Europe.

In June we were launching two compelling campaigns: a bug bounty program in partnership with Immunefi, and in order to keep pushing towards decentralization, a decentralized collator campaign. They are both still active and open to everyone who’s looking to collaborate.

3rd Quarter

Polkadot Decoded, Treasury Proposal, and the TEERDays

2024’s third quarter kickstarted at Polkadot Decoded, which last year took place in Brussels. At the conference, Integritee’s CTO, Alain Brenzikofer presented Incognitee’s concept and explained why a privacy sidechain is not only beneficial but also necessary. You can watch the recording here.

In August, Integritee received retroactive funding from the Polkadot treasury for work done on Incognitee, which allowed us to continue developing the app. September was all about the release of the TEERDays campaign (still ongoing). It aims to foster TEER token holders to become more participative and stay ahead for the launch of our privacy sidechain. If you want to know what the TEERDays are all about, click here.

Telenova — an app developed by Novasama — announced the support of TEER, which allows token holders to send TEER to anyone directly through Telegram.

4th Quarter

Launching Incognitee Beta, Guess the Number & Exciting Features

In the last three months of 2024, we had not one, but more than three new releases. We launched Incognitee as a Beta version on Integritee Network together with Guess the Number, a challenge created so people would use our newly released application. During multiple weeks a lucky winner has been awarded 500 TEER for guessing a randomly chosen number.

In October, the hardware wallet device, Ledger, started supporting Polkadot Parachains including Integritee. Know more about it and start using it now.

After releasing Incognitee into the world, we started working on new and exciting features, and soon launched the Vouchers, which everyone with a valid wallet can issue and gift to someone else — it’s also a great way to receive money. The best thing? The only thing you’ll ever need is a QR code.

December is when we launched our unique Messaging platform, which can be accessed only through Incognitee, and allows everyone to chat privately with another wallet owner. Haven’t tried yet? Start now!

•••

Although 2024 presented a few challenges due to the bear market situation, the Integritee team was able to launch a series of captivating user campaigns, develop Incognitee and some exciting related features, release new articles, and more. The market might have slowed things down industry-wise, but looking back at last year, it’s also clear that both the Web3 and the blockchain industries have surpassed the growing pains phase, and are now evolving rapidly in conjunction with other new technologies like AI.

We are certainly proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and eager to see what’s next! Stay tuned and keep following our work via our online community platforms.
