Monthly Wrap-Up January 2024: Launching the Incognitee Testnet, Winning a Hackernoon Award & Much More!

We started the year strong! Last month, we focused on working on and launching our highly anticipated privacy sidechain, Incognitee. The team is pleased to announce that Integritee has been awarded Hackernoon’s Best Startup of the Year (2023). Scroll through to find out more exciting things from last month.

Business Updates

Winning a Hackernoon Award

The results were finally out last month: Integritee won Hackernoon’s Best Startup in Zurich and we couldn’t be more thrilled. It was a public vote, so thanks to everyone who supported the project. Winning this award means we will get a .Tech domain for life, a HackerNoon NFT, and a Tech Company Newspage on Hackernoon’s website.

OLI Systems releases Whitepaper

It’s official: The OLI team working on a DLT-based Local Energy Market Model has released its research paper. The document highlights this novel solution and explores how blockchain technology can be used to develop an energy system for households. Click here to read all about how Integritee is involved in this experiment.

Incognitee Website Launch

We have launched the Incognitee Website– our privacy sidechain that allows users to perform transfers privately and confidentially, which you can check here! We will keep working on the development of this product, as we believe it is not only useful but a game-changer in blockchain.

Treasury Proposal — Taking Incognitee Further

Integritee has an ongoing treasury proposal on OpenGov, so be sure to cast your vote if you haven’t done so already. We aim to get enough funds to support the work behind building and developing our newest service, Incognitee. Read all about the proposal here, including the reason behind it, and proof that our privacy sidechain is, indeed, worth supporting.

Articles & Beyond

Integritee is also reinforcing its content with a series of educational articles and videos — we aim to explore and dissect some of the hottest topics in blockchain right now. In January, we published a roundup of our 2023 educational content, explored the concept of CBDCs, and published episodes 7 and 8 of our season 2 videos — they focus on the Attesteer and our SDK, respectively.

Tech Updates

Release of the Integritee SDK v0.12.11

One new main release of the Integritee SDK was published last month. The changes from v0.12.2 to v0.12.11 contain:

App-Libs

  • Custom dependencies on parentchain runtimes to decode l1 events

Core

  • Automatically init shard if the primary worker and no shard exists on-chain

Sidechain

  • More robust sidechain block import logic

For all details, check our repository.

Incognitee Public Testnet Launch

We are also excited to have launched Incognitee Public Testnet. The tech team started with the launch of the public test net against the Rococo Relay chain. Blockchain and Web3-savvy users can start playing around with Incognitee — just follow these steps! In the meantime, the Testnet produced already more than 1M blocks within 2 weeks of operation.

What’s Ahead

Polkadot Parachain Slot renewal

We are preparing our Crowdloan campaign to renew our Polkadot Parachain slot, which is starting on February 7th at 9 am GMT. Support us via our dedicated crowdloan page and get rewarded with TEER.

Incognitee

After releasing the public testnet of Incognitee — our Privacy Sidechain for Polkadot — we are now working on the launch of a series of user and testing campaigns for the following weeks.

Release of the Integritee SDK v0.13.0

Release v.0.13.0 is imminent and will include multichain support, so we can run multiple light clients and send data to different target chains.

Tech updates

More features around our Attesteer, our Teeracle, and the privacy Sidechains will be released in the upcoming weeks.
